(I wish I could) Paint All Day
Painting has always been my passion in life. I have had quite a few diversions from my path as an artist...two children, full time employment, and all the obligations that come with these. I love being a mother, and my lab career is in healthcare, so I am grateful to have been so blessed. Now the kids are grown...and now painting is THE THING.

Good news!
The painting, now titled, "Colorful Koi", was accepted for the "Spring Into Art" show at the Howard Steamboat Museum! I'm so happy to get some positive re-enforcement :). Also accepted, is this painting of swans, titled, "White on Blue". The show opens in about 3 weeks.

More progress
I found out that the deadline for the application at the Howard Steamboat museum is Feb 12. That has given me more time to scratch my head and try to make this painting better. I think it "lost" something when I painted out one of the fish at the top....going to put him back in today - and try to finish this!!!

Paint all day...day one
Happy New Year :)
I am an oil painter. I had a very good 2010, but I did not paint much at all. I got married (yay), moved, and work 3rd shift as a lab technician. With all this stuff going on - painting got pushed aside. The New Year is here and PAINTING is top prioroty. OK, family, friends, pets and work have to wedge in - but painting is on the front burner.
We have a large living room here at our house. Now it is divided by furniture arrangement into a sitting area and a painting studio. I'm just getting the studio set up....we will follow the progress of the work here in my living room/studio ....
